Volunteers were advised not to travel to Bangkok. Peace Corps officials
in Washington, DC and locally in Thailand are closely monitoring the
situation to ensure the safety of Peace Corps Volunteers and Staff.

What is this status called? Consolidation? No travel alert? No travel to certain regions alert? Closing certain regions to PC? Why aren't PCVEs payed danger/hazard pay like Foreign Service? Where is the inspection information regarding PCVE status' in country?

PC will not give us the cause of death. It's an 'accident.' Why we have to ask? The last 'accidental' PCVE death was a shooting in the Campo. The last murder of a PCVE; she was murdered by PC staff and the cause of death was never released by PC.

PC is not a Civilian Stabilization Initiative

for Tibet or Pakistan. Kerry Lugar bill. The transfers to MCC or other agencies are normal. Dodd had this done for Fiji military aid. The bill confuses domestication of foreign aid that can reverse. For example, agriculture bills are almost always foreign aid issues.

Why we're appended to the Pakistan conflict funding?

'Reserve Corps,' 'Response Corps,' etc. are job reservations for x federal employees. The funding for these has already increased over 7x. NGOs can do this work more efficiently and with the same or better expertise.

PC is not involved in any of the outcomes after the appended legislation was approved.

Peace Corps Manual Now Online 1st Time

A few years and Congress. The five year law has disappeared for a 'time limit,' but not including it's definition was the reason we called Congress in the first place. OIG five year opportunity law waiver lobby / PC doctor's five year opportunity law waiver lobby/doctor's PEPFAR lobby/'sustainable' five year budgets - agency budgets. Yes, DSS (shadow foreign service) is now five years too and it only caused a few problems overseas. See PC manual changes inconsistency with legislation. The law is missing from the manual because it's not wanted and this was how Congress got involved with the previous manual and the missing definion of the law.
